Current Coffee Beans
My uncle takes 5 minutes early in the morning to squeeze his own orange juice. I wake up 5 mins early to make fresh coffee, and it’s worth it. The aroma of freshly grounds and and from the blooming coffee make me smile. What I learned about coffee is it is not just about how expensive the coffee bean is. Freshness has major role in overall coffee experience. Always, check roasting date!
Coffee beans go stale, so I try not to keep too much coffee in stock. But, sometimes, I can’t help myself. I always keep 3 to 4 different types of beans in stock at my apartment. (I also have an ice cream collection that I’m trying to downsize)
If you ask me for my favorite coffee,my answer would be vary by the day and my mood. Sunny or rainy? Do I need quick coffee or have time to sit down for a cup? With milk or without milk? How do I want to make it? It’s fun to try and discover different coffees.
I subscribe to @moustachecoffee; they send a new coffee every two weeks. They’ve had hits and misses, but I still get excited when I get new shipments. I love how they share the story behind the coffee and the farmers. Currently I am trying Orion from Guatemala. It’s fruity without too much acidity, so it’s great for sunny days.
I randomly discovered @modcupcoffee at a local cafe and fell in love. They are in Jersey City, and I like supporting a local business. Their Luiz Claudio from Brazil coffee is solid. Recently, I got into nutty coffees, and this one definitely hits the sweet spot. When the sunlight is limited and I need a stronger pick me up, this is my go-to. I wish they make more Crown Jewel Series because it was interesting to see how coffees can be different due to processing. Looking forward to see more from them.
I was strolling around the coffee shelves at the grocery store down the block and found @brooklynroasting. Since then, I have bought more than 15 cans of it. I have tried their Peru, Mexico, Ethiopia, Ethiopian Natural, Ethiopian Washed, Iris, and Java Mocha offerings (Oh wow--I drank a lot of coffee). I am keep going back to their Peru coffees. They’ve been the blend coffee beans so far. Their local cafes are great as well. It’s the most masculine coffee out of three coffees that I currently have.
Do you have any other coffee beans recommendations for me? I would love to try it!
